Within the education sector, Starehe constituency
needs greater improvement in all the eight wards. I
will work on decongestion of overcrowded classes and
provide an ample learning atmosphere to boost the
education standards.
More schools will be built where need be to absorb
the growing population. I will also demand and
implement newer technologies so that our children
are not left behind in the global market. For us to
achieve true development, we have to be able to
offer first world type education to our children
with no excuses. I believe we have the ability and
will do everything to achieve this goal.
Solutions for a better education system
Education to be improved by adopting newer
technologies and investing in the upgrading of
existing facilities.
Encourage the establishment of new institutions both
public and private.
I will drive investments in extra curricular
activities e.g. sports, drama, research etc to a
higher level so that we can allow our young men and
women to exploit their potential to the fullest.
Decongesting of the students by creating more
classes and schools in general.
Encouraging the adoption of computer literacy at the
primary school level. We need to encourage our
children to enjoy schooling by creating an exciting
and conducive atmosphere for them to learn in at a
young age.
Education is a subject of national concern. As a
member of parliament, I will work with the
government and continuously lobby for major
improvements across our countries education system.
