Starehe Success Story is the true definition of what Bishop Dr. Margaret Wanjiru aspires to accomplish during her tenure as the Member of Parliament for Starehe Constituency.  Starehe Success Story is a  development agenda of which she advocates with a passion. She plans to reach out to the many constituents both economically and socially.  

 

My vision for Starehe, depicts a Starehe where all constituents enjoy a prosperous life economically, socially, democratically and spiritually with affairs been undertaken in a Godly and transparent manner. For us to to achieve such a society, we need to target all segments and sectors with their own special approach instead of of taking a blanket approach to constituency matters like has been done in the past with dismal results.

The vision under Starehe Success Story plans to take a grassroot  approach thus guaranteeing
notable development.

We plan to address the issues that the Starehe people face in the following ways.
 
 

 


Youth
I believe that the youth should be given the first priority because they are the majority of the current population. Youth are the majority and the future of this nation belongs to them and their children. I will endeavor to fight against vices that destroy our youth thus leading to a corrupt and unproductive generation.

Women
Women need to be empowered so as to contribute more to the society. Women are less privileged in our society despite been the pillars supporting the family which in turn contributes to community building. My vision for the Women of Starehe is to see them empowered in all areas i.e. economically, socially, politically, etc. and also to realize the strength of women through groupings. I plan to engage international organizations that will concur with my vision for Starehe women and form a consortium that will support our development.
